Practical therapy for kids, teens and adults.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) working with children, teens and adults, in person in Peterborough and online across Ontario.

Who I work with
Children and teens
I work with children and teens dealing with anxiety, ADHD, learning differences, or stress at school or at home.
Students
I work with college and university students dealing with stress, anxiety, ADHD, or the pressures of being away from home for the first time.
Early adulthood
I work with young adults dealing with stress, anxiety, ADHD, or a life transition such as a new job, a relationship change, or a move.
Pregnancy and parents
I work with women during pregnancy and after birth, including anxiety, low mood, and the adjustment to parenting, and with parents who want support around their child.
Something else
Stress, anxiety and ADHD are the most common reasons people come. If your situation is different, a consultation call is the easiest way to find out whether I can help.

Practical, and often lighter than you expect.
Some sessions are heavy. Most are about building skills, and skills are easier to learn when you feel at ease. For children that means games, drawing and moving around. For teens and adults it means plain conversation and trying things out between sessions.
The relationship comes first. Tools work when you trust the person handing them to you.
How it starts
1
A free 15-minute consultation call
You describe what is going on, for you or for your child, and I explain how I would approach it. For children and teens, this first call is with the parent.
2
A first session
If it makes sense to go ahead, we book a first session, in person or online. With younger children I use play and creative activities; with teens and adults, sessions are mostly conversation.
3
Ongoing sessions
How often we meet depends on what we are working on, and we review it together as we go.
For parents and schools
Educational consultation
A 60-minute consultation about a child's learning, behaviour or needs at school. We go through what you are seeing at home and in the classroom, what any assessments say, and what might help. Where useful, I work with the school directly.
I bring 20 years in education, including classroom teaching and psychoeducational assessment work with autistic and ADHD children.
Educational consultation
$160
60 minutes, in person or online. Booked after a consultation call.
